New Vallarta attraction offers stunning vistas

State and municipal authorities have cut the ribbon on Jorullo Point, a new lookout viewpoint in the Puerto Vallarta jungle reached by a 200-meter-long suspension bridge raised more than 100 meters above the ground.

pg5 copyThe mirador is part of the Canopy El Jorullo and El Ejido eco-tourism complex and offers a spectacular 360-degree vista of the surrounding mountains, the Cuale River and the ocean.

In the future, the glass-floored viewing deck is expected to include a seating area and a drinks bar.  The bridge can also support Polaris RZR and ATV vehicles, which are used widely for off-road tours in the park.

Various guided walking hikes, as well as horse rides and river experiences, are offered in the eco-park, which also houses a restaurant. For details about the tours, see canopyriver.com.
