On Thursday, March 14, Jesús Ernesto (Chuni) Medeles Córdova swore the oath of office as the newest member of the Chapala City Council to fill the empty seat left when Mayor Alejandro Aguirre took a leave a absence to run for reelection.
Named as Aguirre’s substitute on the 2021 PAN ticket, Medeles is now the fourth Ajijic native serving on the Cabildo. The others are interim Mayor Gamaliel Soto Pérez, and councilors Denise Michelle Ibarra González and Ricardo Mora Martínez.
