Sip on bubbly as Sun vanishes behind Moon

Care for a sumptuous brunch, complimentary glass of champagne and free safety eyeglasses to watch a historic event?

The Solar Eclipse Bubbly Brunch happens at 10 a.m. Monday, April 8, with all proceeds benefiting Niños Incapacitados.

The event will be held at a private, home in downtown Ajijic to mark this celestial occasion. A “wine pull,” guaranteeing participants a 350-plus peso bottle of red wine, and both live and silent auctions also will be offered.

Tickets are 500 pesos per person. Advance tickets must be purchased online at ninosbrunch.eventbrite.com or at the Niños website at programaninos.com.

Since 1974, Niños Incapacitados has been a nonprofit, volunteer group that helps qualified Mexican families pay ongoing and one-time, major medical expenses for children with severe disabilities or life-threatening illnesses. It serves families living throughout Lakeside. This year marks Niños’ 50th anniversary. It is Lakeside’s longest-serving, locally-based charity.
