North Banderas Beat - February 10, 2024

Surrounded by art in all its forms is one of the many reasons my love of the area expands day by day.

Many of my friends have created works of art with local studio Diseño Natural. Using fluid resin techniques and agate stones, they create different and unique Parota and Teak wood charcuterie boards. Participate in the epoxy pouring resin workshop, a four-hour class creating your own charcuterie board, canvas or glass art pieces. Fun, dynamic and informative! Classes in Bucerías at Lázaro Cárdenas 64. Contact 322-243-0593.

Two artists in Bucerias inspire the artist within as they teach their techniques in workshops and retreats.  Nancy Hache and Floydilou Kerr bring the artist out in people. I took one of Nancy’s retreats and found it unbelievable that I could a paint! I follow Floydilou on social media and the creations she and her students share blows my mind. All these artists seem to have so much fun too. For more information, see nancyhache.com and floydiloukerr.com.

Artist Natalie Brake is teaching Fluid Art Pouring at the Octopus Garden in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, Saturday, March 9. This is a captivating art form creating “cells” that look like beautiful microscopic parts of nature. Students from previous workshops say its mesmerizing. In her four-hour workshop, you’ll learn this technique using various colors. Your artwork will come alive as more and more colors blend creating cells, rivers and dimensions of magic. You’ll leave with three paintings and a new hobby that will bring you joy for years to come. To register, see nataliebrake.com.
