Open Circle

Araceli Kopiloff will speak about “Our Rich Cultural Community” at LCS on Sunday, March 10, 10:30 a.m.

The Lakeside area has many wonderful opportunities to immerse yourself in the rich cultural fabric of the community. Kopiloff will introduce her new endeavor consolidating entertainment-related information in one online place.

The Ajijic Events Calendar will assist the community in discovering hidden gems, uncovering new passions, and connecting with like-minded individuals who share interests. In addition, it will help sustain local artists and commerce at no cost to them.
The new English-language website will bring together information about local performances, art, culture, fashion, food, fundraisers and outdoor events. It will provide information including dates, times, directions, prices and descriptions. Links will also be provided to purchase tickets or make reservations, as well as allow users to add events to their own calendars.
Two years ago, Kopiloff started a self-funded project called Negocios Magicos to help small entrepreneurs flourish by exposing the foreign community to local businesses. To date, Negocios Magicos has re-launched 11 businesses in the community.
